What a beautiful Yorkshire day for a summer wedding.
The choir is singing this afternoon at a wedding near Wetherby. We have a beautiful day to share this celebration with the happy couple, and wish them all the best for their future together.

2016 summer dinner
Maureen Dawson and Eileen Rickers received the first awards made to ladies at FMVC, for their years of service as a catering team. At the next rehearsal an award was also made to Jean Thompson for all her hard work as Patron Secretary. Stan Dawson also received a long service award at the summer dinner.

Fantastic concert at RAH last night. Amazing performances from the massed bands and voices. Just a pity we couldn’t go to The Scoop this morning. Never mind, maybe next time.
Royal Albert Hall
Final rehearsals take place this week for our performance at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday 14 November. Those taking part are really looking forward to the weekend, however all this extra singing has taken its toll on some voices! There have been a number of sore throats recently. Lots of TLC and gargling required…
