We were delighted to welcome three new members after our summer break. Rehearsals start again on Friday 21 August, following the summer break. The choir members who will be singing at The Albert Hall in November have had a couple of additional rehearsals over the past three weeks, but all the chaps will be back in full strength this Friday, rested and raring to go.

We have added another Carol Concert to our Christmas schedule. It will take place on 16 December at the Rovers Clubhouse at 7pm, and will include pupils from a local school.

The Choir now has a Facebook page so if you use Facebook regularly perhaps you could send a friend request so that you can be connected to all news and updates from the choir.

Posters are now going up for the concert on Saturday 19 September at Wakefield Cathedral, with special guests the Grimethorpe Band. Tickets cost £14 and available from Peter Malpass or Peter Trevor.

  On 15 July the choir members and WAGs celebrated the third annual dinner at The King’s Croft hotel in Pontefract. Rowland Marris has been a member of the choir for almost 3 decades and during that time through his own efforts and generosity he has raised aver two thousand pounds for choir funds.
